If you’ve been procrastinating, don’t worry—you’re not alone. The stores are buzzing with kindred spirits looking for that “perfect” gift, or at least something that passes for it. But once you’ve made it through the chaos, I suggest heading home, kicking off your shoes, and pouring yourself a festive drink. Because, thankfully, it’s also National Eggnog Day. A creamy, spiced mug of eggnog is the perfect way to unwind and embrace the coziness of Christmas Eve. Which brings me to days quote from Norman Vincent Peale, who said: “Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” It’s so true, isn’t it? There’s a special kind of beauty in the world on Christmas Eve. The glow of lights feels warmer, the laughter sounds brighter, and even the cold winter air seems to carry a little extra magic. It’s a day that reminds us to see the world through softer eyes, to slow down and appreciate the moments we often rush past.
