Andrew Scarborough was first diagnosed with an aggressive form of Glioblastoma brain cancer (GBM), which is already very aggressive. Seeing that his form of GBM did not respond well to traditional chemo and radiation treatments, he stopped these and looked at alternative approaches. This led him to discovering the decades of work published in the metabolic mitochondrial theory of cancer and how a ketogenic diet could help the body fight off this deadly disease. From keto he found the carnivore way of eating, and has since stopped all medications, stopped his seizures without meds, and his most recent MRI of his brain shows that there has been no progression in a decade, where the average life expectancy for the average GBM without treatment is 3 months, and those getting full treatment have an average life expectancy of 15 to 18 months. And for his specific type of GBM (Unmethylated, IDH-wild type) it's even less. So, this is an exceptional case indeed. He has since moved to advance the medical literature by performing his own human trials with other GBM patients in the UK with a ketogenic/carnivore diet at Charring Cross Hospital, and is joined today with his research partner in this project, Isabella Cooper, to discuss his personal journey, their research, and a new hope for cancer victims.
