Amayra Morales: Clean Beauty Using the Ancient Wisdom of Ayurveda
This week Tee is excited to bring you a conversation she had with Amayra Morales about the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and the beauty of natural skin care. In her “past life”, Amayra was busy climbing the corporate ladder until she hit her lowest health point. After burning herself out Amayra ended up in the hospital desperately unaware of the cause of her ailments. After she was released Amayra went from specialist to specialist to try to find answers to the long list of symptoms she was experiencing following her burnout. With each specialist appointment, Amayra became increasingly disempowered, feeling shut out and not listened to.
Amayra started to question every aspect of her life and realized that her time in the corporate world was over. She packed her bags and bought a one-way ticket to India to fulfill her dream of becoming a yoga teacher. During her time in India, she became very sick and through a series of fortunate events, ended up at an Ayurvedic clinic. For Amayra, this was the beginning of the end because, through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, she was able to connect the dots of her symptoms and find good health again.
Now after a full recovery along with years of studying the principles of Ayurveda, Amayra understands that her Dharma (soul’s mission) is to help women holistically optimize their health so they can glow from the inside out. In this episode, she shares some of the wisdom and insights that she has discovered along her journey while sharing tips on how to both listen to and evaluate your body and skin for signs of larger health issues. Tee and Amayra explore how the root causes of so many illnesses lie in our toxic burden and explore ways to cleanse ourselves from that load.
