In S2E6 of the SheRecovery Podcast, you’ll hear Part 1 of a two-part interview with Dena Bennett. Dena came out of a hedonistic and atheistic lifestyle when she met Jesus in college in 2006. In this interview, Dena talks about her journey of radical transformation—breaking free from pornography and other unwanted sexual behavior through a life surrendered to Christ. Before Jesus, Dena's life primarily revolved around sexual relationships, pornography, and masturbation. But by God's grace, with the help of her church, and over the course of many years, Dena experienced deep healing and transformation with regard to her sexual struggles, now walking in sexual sobriety for 8 years. In 2016 she had the great privilege of working with her church to help start a ministry for women who struggle with sexual sin. One of her many joys of being in this ministry has been to help develop a small group curriculum titled, Set Free: Equipping Women in the Quest for Sexual Integrity, recently published on Amazon. Dena currently lives in Des Moines, IA, with her husband Jacob and their dog Nuggets.
