Assertion is a new melodic rock band from the Northwest that features former Sunny Day Real Estate, Foo Fighters and the Fire Theft drummer William Goldsmith. 
I spoke with the band about their backstory, life during the pandemic, playing music with their children and the new album. This interview also features four brand new songs from the album "Intermission" on Spartan Records.
