I'm a serial audiobook listener, and I only listen to podcasts between books so I'm usually 2 or 3 episodes behind. I enjoy having a handful of episodes to binge all at once!

I’m very curious what you come up with on the photo front. I’m in the exact same boat. I’ve been testing out Synology Photos lately, but it just doesn’t cut it. The wife is especially unhappy with the lack of AI features that allow her to search for “dog” or “Disneys Animal Kingdom” for instance. I’ve been using “PhotoSync” on iOS to at least get my pictures onto my Unraid NAS, albeit unorganized. Thanks for doing what you do. -tater

Hey fellas. You mentioned the struggles of getting sats into lightning wallets like Fountain, and I thought I’d share my recent discovery. It’s not private like RoboSats, but I like it anyway. I’ve been a Cash App user for a few years now, and they added Bitcoin support awhile back. They even have money back rewards that I like to use like 5% BTC back at any restaurant. Anyway, I recently found out their Bitcoin wallet in the app supports lightning. Sending sats to Fountain was a piece of cake.

2016 was when we first heard the phrase "the year of the linux desktop" which coincides with when Canonical was at the peak of its convergence hype train. Ubuntu made the switch to the first LTS with systemd. Had an ongoing phone AND smart tv project. Manjaro finally got popular, Gnome Shell finally reached usable and Steam proved the test of time lasting the 4 year test and showed the community Valve was in the long run with the steam machine and SteamOS 1.0. My last bit of history boosts btw.

I would also like to mention I'm a bit interested in y'all covering HAM. However, not for more than a few episodes. Maybe it would be a good excuse to bring Noah back for a limited run. I'd be interested in beginner hardware and setups, how to get the licensing, etc

In the Member Feed, you were talking about the cow you're buying, and Carl was mentioning that you should buy a Ding and Dent freezer. Another option would be buying from Costco. They have an upright freezer here in Spokane that has drawers instead of shelves. It's in the $400-$500 range. I'd possibly be willing to grab one for ya, in exchange for Satoshis ;P And you could grab it when you come out here for the meetup

Love the show, and so glad you talk about Linux Mint every now and then as it was my first distro and still my favourite. Trying boost for the first time after listening to this episode and noticed a few days ago my boost stopped accumulating in my wallet.

i don't like all the crypto but I love the idea of the lightning Network and the use for stuff like this or for a game server you are playing on

Re: Google - It freaked me out as well. I'm currently setting up Nextcloud to solve the immediate problem of photo and file storage. I don't like it for that, but it buys time to find a perfect solution. "You don't have to solve every problem all at once..." Anyone else miss Babylon 5? Thanks for the show! Paul

Well guys I tried. I’m sending you the sats I earned by listening for about 2 days. Sadly I’m removing the app since it’s unuseable for me. Just four hours of streaming on my apple iPhone 13 drained my battery from 90% to 10% causing me to have to plug it in and stop listening to podcasts. Luckily it charges fast and Apple Podcasts doesn’t drain the battery very much at all. Thanks for everything you do! Let me know when fountain app doesn’t drain a whole battery in just four hours.

I have a home server with photoprism and syncthing. Syncthing copies photos from the phone to the server, then photoprism import them from the syncthing directory.
