The coolest thing about Stadia was it's portability. I have a really nice gaming rig with a Ryzen 5600x, a ton of ram and an RTX 3060, but I also liked enjoying games like Destiny 2 on my phone. I know it had it's issues, but it was just so ahead technologically compared to things like Amazon Luna, Xbox Xcloud, etc. Shame to see it go.

I mentioned I fly the Shadow UAV for the US Army on coder radio. You mentioned that JPL used to use Solaris. The Shadow is currently in its second version (v2). Back when I flew the version 1 (v1) it didn’t use REL it used Solaris. Also I just want to say that fountain now has CarPlay support! Now I can earn sats while I drive! Stadia is a self fulfilling prophesy. Everyone knew google would cancel it like they cancel everything, so nobody used it, so google had to cancel it. It can't be Linux's fault alone that stadia failed. It's the old-school thinking of game publishers. Even a windows vm would trip up anticheat.

Thanks for the shoutout last week. I didn’t purchase a Stadia because I didn’t trust google to keep the service operational and leave me hung out to dry. when money is tight it’s hard to gamble on these types of devices. Perhaps if they stated at launch they would keep it operational for a certain number of years, the reception would have been better. Thanks for the quality content. great job everyone.

Coming in from my little fountain.fm, wanted to say thanks and keep up the great show! I'm curious though, are there fewer emails read on the show because people have moved to boosting, or have those been getting put to the side? Podcasting 2.0 seems to be a great way to support creators, but I don't want to see those who haven't come over being left behind.
