When you own a business, you get lots of "advice" from lots of people. When someone tells you they can help your business, ask them how. Not in generic terms, but what specific strategy, tactics, measurements and expectations they recommend. Ask them to be specific.
Avoid: guaranteed sales
Avoid: "this one weird trick"
Avoid: can't-miss, too good to be true, etc...
Avoid: one-size-fits-all solutions
