Dr. Arash Javanbakht is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist who currently serves as the director of the Stress, Trauma, and Anxiety Research Clinic (STARC) at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He joins host Krys Boyd to discuss how fear works in the brain, its relationship to PTSD and trauma, and how we can tame it. His book is “Afraid: Understanding the Purpose of Fear and Harnessing the Power of Anxiety.”
