The three-way battle among Congressional Democrats who want to succeed Dianne Feinstein in the US Senate gets a little more crowded, with a new candidate who is not a member of the House. A prominent tech executive from the Silicon Valley business world has thrown her hat into the ring.
That new candidate is Lexi Reese, a working mom from Woodside who is a 48 year-old tech exec. She’s worked at American Express, Google and Facebook and as Chief Operating Officer at Gusto, an HR firm. She joins a crowded field that includes Democratic Representatives Katie Porter, Adam Schiff and Barbara Lee, as well as Republican Eric Early, with a couple other Republicans still considering the race. They are all running to take Senator Feinstein’s seat in the Senate next year, when Feinstein will end her long career in Washington. Those other contenders have all appeared on this program already, and today Doug, Brett and Patti spoke with Lexi Reese.
