Springtime is the peak time when people start raising chickens and owners add to their backyard flocks. It’s also the height of migration season for birds, a time when our nation’s poultry are at higher risk from the threat of dangerous diseases, like avian influenza and currently, the U.S. is experiencing the largest Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak in history.
