Today we will be starting a series that will be sprinkled throughout the next year.  Christ and Culture. This series explores the theological and biblical basis for valuing and participating in cultural and artistic creation.  How do we as Christians operate in this wider world…politics, movies, film, news, art, education..how do we interpret these things and  how do we contribute? Some of  these issues are contentious  - such as abortion,  racism  and living together.  Today MIke is turning to I Corinthians 6, I Corinthians 10 and Ephesians 5:18 to reflect on how Christ-followers should think about topics like this. And he will be giving some specific focus on another controversial contemporary issue - the use of recreational marijuana, which will be legal in Illinois in about six weeks.
