Growing up, she was shy but loved performing in Christmas plays, talent shows, her bedroom, and just about anywhere she could bring out her inner Diana Ross. She received her MFA in Acting from the Regent University. She studied at the Chubbuck Studio in Los Angeles and also Commercial training with Killian’s workshop. Some of her favorite stage roles include Amanda Wingfield in the Glass Menagerie and Golde in the Fiddler on the Roof.(Yes, she played a Jewish mother in 1905 Imperial Russia)She has toured in Tokyo, and Canada, with the Dublin Worldwide company, and also China and Taiwan with the Broadway play "Aida".Shaunte has landed roles on networks such as the Lifetime and the Investigation Discovery channel. She has been featured in shows like Blackish, films such as Always a Bridesmaid on Netflix and I got the Hook Up 2. Most recently, she has been starring in the popular YouTube Dhar Mann videos, set out to inspire people and “help change lives.”Due to the postponement of the Motown Review tour playing Diana Ross in Canada this summer, Shaunte has been working on her Spanish, not getting totally obese and also getting her web series produced, called Sanctified, about a youth minister who fights for her kids to survive the streets of her hometown Washington DC while battling her own desires.Eventually, Shaunte plans to create an inner city Performing Arts school and also star alongside Will Smith in a feature film. She's thinking "The Pursuit of Happiness 2".From stage to tv to film to social media, Shaunte loves it all and can’t wait to get back to business when Hollywood opens up again.
