The fruit we bear shows the character of Christ: love, joy, peace. Because it is from his character, its growth and manifestation comes from constant contact with Christ (Vs. 8). We must also abide in Christ's love by being faithful and keeping his commands, preparing for his return, and pursuing joy through communion with him (vs.9).John 15:5-8 English Standard Version (ESV)5 I am the vine; you are the branches.
