You don’t have to read this on air if you don’t want. wanted to say thanks for all the VIM and EMacs explanations, even if I don’t understand a lot of it yet. Loved the monestary analogy🤣 I’d love to read Brandon’s email if that’s ok, sjthaw@me.com. Now on to the important stuff. I’m with Mike #freeUna. Also, I love Orville and Discovery. I’m a nerd and just happy to see new sci-fi, even if it is flawed! I completely agree with your assessment of Seth though; even though I love his humor

I love Orville as it's own thing. Yes it's essentially Trek, but it has a maybe lighter feel to it? I've basically decided that if Galaxy Quest had ever gotten a real show Orville is basically what it would have been, and I'm here for that.

Forgot where I left off, but even though I love his humor, he’s definitely not the best actor 🤣🤣🤣 I also agree with a lot of your assessment of Discovery. It was exceptionally hard for me to swallow the whole mushroom thing. But, it’s Star Trek so I’m going to watch it just because I’m happy it’s being made =) Anyways, ya’ll are awesome, I’ll keep being a member and boosting =)

Oh yeah. I forgot to boost about why I use vim. How is nobody mentioning modal editing? That's killer! I get the same language servers as vscode, but it's extensible when I need it. For example, I made a command to convert from DOI to latex code using doi2bib.org. Saved me so much time citing hundreds of articles for my thesis, but not something you'd find in the app store. Also, tabs. Fight me.

But can we talk about GitHub's absolutely trash, non-existent ability to organize your repos? I don't want a massive, flat list of repos that I have to search through via typing or scrolling every time to find that one repo I need to take a look at real quick. That is the sole reason I decided to use the free GitLab service instead of GitHub for my personal projects.

just boosting in to say that I loved your chat about Star Trek. when it comes to Discovery, it’s a real Mario and Luigi situation - but I enjoyed regardless. Star Trek is Star Trek after all! keep up the good work

We all know environment concerns are about controlling people and not really the environment. Keeping people at home isn't part of the adgenda I guess. Apps are sold on the Steam Linux platform but mostly games.
