Everyone's a winner: labor groups and fast food agree on $20/hr minimum wage

Labor groups and fast-food companies in California have come to an agreement which includes bumping up the minimum salary for workers to $20 dollars an hour, narrowly avoiding a ballot fight over Assembly Bill 12-28.

The compromise also means that franchise corporations will not be held responsible for workforce violations at individual restaurants, a term that's been a major sticking point in negotiations.
