More than 40 candidates have been certified to run so far in the recall election and put themselves forward as potential replacements for Governor Gavin Newsom should he be recalled when Californians vote on September 14.
But every eligible voter will receive a ballot in the mail starting in mid-August, so the campaign is well underway. You may already be seeing commercials and getting mailers from the various candidates.
Those demanding that Governor Newsom be recalled are painting a pretty dark picture of California. But Governor Newsom is trying to portray the state in a much rosier light.
