In LaGrange Illinois just a bit West of the city of Chicago, The Nettie J McKinnon Art Collection consists of around 120 artworks and today it is valued in the millions of dollars. From 1929 to 1960, students would raise money to buy artworks including pieces by big names like John Singer Sargent.
