President Trump is threatening to withhold federal funds from California after a transgender athlete qualified for the girl's state track and field championship this upcoming weekend. Governor Newsom made headlines earlier this year when he told a conservative guest on his podcast that he thought allowing trans athletes to compete in girl's events was deeply unfair.
