Letting Go Of What Is Not In Our Control (Tiphany's Talks)
Today we talk about an exercise that helps us with letting go of things we cannot control.
Activity:
- Trace your hand on a piece of paper
- Write inside the palm of your hand the things that you CAN control- your feelings, your thoughts, your words, your actions
- Everything else gets written outside your hand... these are the things you cannot control- your car breaking down, the weather, your child getting sick, your x-partner
- Because you cannot close your hand on these things outside your hand- you must let go of them. You cannot control them.
- Close your hand around those things you CAN control. Focus on them. Let go of everything else.
