Governor Gavin Newsom had some strong words for oil companies in comments this past Friday, saying they're price gouging, taking advantage of consumers, polluting the planet, and that there isn't any logical explanation for California's sky-high gas prices.

The remarks came as the Governor announced he will be calling a special legislative session for lawmakers to consider a tax on "excessive profits" oil companies are making due to high gas prices in the state.
