Could California shorten the work week, creating a 4-day, 32-hour week for millions of California workers?
That’s the idea in the hopper in Sacramento, where state lawmakers are moving forward with a bill to require large companies to pay overtime, after their employees work 32 hours a week.
It’s been a dream of many workers for a long time, and now the changes in work habits since the pandemic began more than two years ago could make it a reality for many in California.
