Leaders of a new political party led by former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and former Republican New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman are back in California, trying to drum up support.
The new party is trying to get on the ballot in California, but in a different way from other fledgling third parties.
We are talking about the Forward Party, which is taking a grass roots, ground up approach, rather than starting at the top by fielding a presidential candidate. This party is focused on electing local candidates, and building from the bottom up. For more on this, Brett Burkhart, Patti Reising and Doug Sovern spoke with Lindsey Williams Drath, the CEO of the Forward Party.
