If you thought your umbrella and rainboots were getting extra use this spring, you’re probably right; Dallas officials and the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System forge ways to fill a $3 billion pension shortfall;  the dismantling of diversity, equity and inclusion programs at Texas universities has led to the firing of several hundred staff members and millions of dollars in program cuts; Red Lobster closed two of its restaurants in Dallas and two east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Tyler and in Longview.
