Deuteronomy 6:1-25
1. Learning is for living, v. 1
2. Parenting is consequential, v. 2
3. You are to be monotheistic in a polytheistic culture, v. 4
4. You parent from the heart, v. 6
5. God intends that parents be the most spiritually formative people in a child’s life, v. 7
6. Prioritize the Word of God, v. 8
7. Remember that fullness leads to forgetfulness, v. 11-12
8. God does not have to prove Himself to you, v. 16
9. Have history with God not just church, v. 20-22
10. Don’t just come out but enter in, v. 23
Three questions parents have to answer…
1. Is God real?
2. What is He like?
a) nature- who God is apart from us

b) character- who God is in relation to us

3. Does He really have a plan for my life?
