Hey everyone and welcome to Refinery Life Australia.
“The Christ of John’s Gospel” is the theme for the coming Sunday morning teachings that focus on John’s unique portrayal of the Christ.
We will continue this series through to the end of the year.
Today we are discussing, The Greatness of Christ.
The beginning of the Gospel of John states the different themes with stunning force.
The dominant note in verses 1:1-18 is the greatness of Christ.
These verses could be a home composed by John under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Its a marvel in word choices, beginning, word, life, light, witness, glory, grace, and truth.
It is also a marvel in arrangement, the Word and God, the Word and the world, the Word and the flesh.
John commences his story of Jesus not with a narrative about birth, wise men, or John the Baptist.
He begins it with a song of praise.
Its a home worthy of our study, so let’s examine its teachings.
