Matthew 11:28
1. Sabbath Baby Steps.
- Baby Step #1: Name the truth—24/7 is not sustainable.
- Baby Step #2: Admit: I need a stop day.
- Baby Step #3: Identify your Sabbath day.
- Baby Step #4: Make one change on that day. (Stop something or add something)
- Baby Step #5: Grow your Sabbath rhythms of renewal and re-creation.
- Baby Step #6: Seek healing—stop consuming. (Rest in the Lord’s presence.)
- Baby Step #7: Nurture Relationships.
- Baby Step #8: Promote Justice.
- Baby Step #9: Be still and know God.
- BIG Step #10: Stop trying to be in charge of your own life. “Let go and let God.”
2. After God created Adam and Eve, He said, “This is very good!” He now had a family who would be able to love and be loved, as long as they rested in His eternal Sabbath. Later, Jesus told us, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest…” (Matthew 11:28)
Next Steps:
- Take the big step to trust God entirely for salvation, instead of your efforts.
- Memorize Matthew 11:28.
- Tell God your needs and depend on Him to provide for you.
- Write an encouraging “Grace Note” to yourself or someone you love.
