Natasha Van Der Merwe: Learning from Nick Bare, The Mental Side of Sports, & Discipleship | MMP #232
In a few short years, she went from training Nick Bare for his first Ironman to running one of the most accomplished triathlon teams in the country. We first had the chance to meet Natasha the day before our first Ironman in Waco, Texas in the fall of 2021. While we weren't her athletes, she made a point to track us during the race and check in to see how we were doing. Since then, we've become great friends and she's played an incredibly important role in mentoring us over the last two years that we've known her. But, we are not alone. Natasha coaches and mentors many of her athletes in triathlon, as well as life. She's a true leader, and NVDM Coaching is a true testament to her love for her athletes and her commitment to putting God first in everything she does. In our conversation with Natasha, we discussed:
