Oakland fails to build up affordable housing after voters approval in 2022

Oakland failed to issue 350 million dollar bond that would have enabled the city to build up to 2,400 units of affordable housing over the next six years.
The voters approved a property tax extension to pay off the bond back in 2022, which also included allocating 290 million dollars for paving 40 miles of city streets per year.
