Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina and as many begin to pick up the pieces, there is now a back-and-forth going on over a proposed insurance rate increase. Representatives for both the Department of Insurance and the North Carolina Rate Bureau continue to meet to arrive at a settlement.
