Talking about Trauma can be hard.
Historically many cultures have taboos around talking openly about trauma. As a consequence, many of us grow up never seeing these types of conversations modeled for us. We have no framework for having the conversations. We have little to no knowledge as to how we might discuss our own trauma with someone and how we might help someone tell us about their trauma.
Talking about Trauma in a nonjudgmental setting is healing. It can have a profound effect on us and our ability to move forward and work through past experiences.
