The jetsetter Kilmainham is a cocktail in honor of St. paddy’s day but also an historic remembrance. Kilmainham is a museum today in Dublin. It was the prison where Irish freedom fighters were captured and executed during the 1916 Easter uprising that later led to Irish independence from England. We made this in honor of the freedom fighters, their ancestors, and the millions of Irish who live around the world and remember those 6 days in April. The cocktail has Irish Whiskey. We chose Bush Mills. But it also has a French touch with Grand Marnier. Sweet Vermouth gives it an old fashioned feel, and some Maraschino Liqueur gives it a Hemingway freedom fighter feel.
