Next we discuss clips of Maggie Haberman torpedoing Trump’s talking point about the felony sentencing being intentionally set right before the Republican National Convention, Jonathan Lemire and the Morning Joe crew mocking pro-MAGA pundits who believe that Trump’s felony convictions will help him, Blake Masters sycophantic ad tying to out-MAGA Trump’s endorsed Primary opponent, and then Joe gives us another hilarious Clown Car Update with a parody about the opening of a new clothing store called MAGA Wearhouse. Then we discuss clips of RNC Co-Chair Michael Whatley telling Newsmax that Republicans are planning for the possibility of Trump addressing the Convention from prison, Rep. Eric Swalwell’s anti-Trump rant in a hearing with Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Chris Hayes cracking up when Rep. Matt Gaetz says that he his given his life to the law.
