Welcome back to The Main Thing Podcast! I’m your host Skip Lineberg.
Our special guest is a trail-blazer. Amy Shuler Goodwin is the first female mayor of Charleston, West Virginia.
Amy was the first female to play on the men’s golf team at Wheeling Park High School. When she was 11, Amy worked at the “Hole ‘n Run,” re-gripping golf clubs and stocking running shoes. After graduating college Goodwin lived in London, England. Her obsessions include power washing, good food, and “Ted Lasso.”
Mayor Goodwin and husband Booth have two boys – Joe and Sam. Their dog, Gus the Bus, is a Kanawha County animal rescue pup.
Buckle up! You’re in for a whirlwind of wisdom from this bold, trailblazing, wise guest.
