Paul's missionary work in Athens yielded few results. Only a few truly heard and believed the message he preached. He used both reason and faith with the Athenians and yet it was not enough. Then he went on to Corinth, and it is on this journey that Paul realized that to preach the resurrection without the Crucifixion was to miss the point. 
The primary goal of Paul's preaching would become preaching Christ and him Crucified. Once he began to do this, he saw the Spirit move many to conversion. May it be so with us.
