We’re still going strong with our “Heal Thyself” series and this week we’re discussing intimacy disorders with our girlfriend, Shena Tubbs, of Black Girls Heal.
Shena is a personal coach, trauma specialist, love addiction and trauma expert as well as a licensed professional counselor and married + family therapist. She is also the creator and host of Black Girls Heal— a podcast dedicated to helping women break out of cycles of unhealthy relationships and grow into their self-worth.
In this episode Shena explains the different types of intimacy disorders + the signs of each. We get a little emotional discussing our father wounds and the way our family trauma has caused intimacy disorders to manifest in our lives + relationships. Shena holds space for us while dropping gems on ways we as women can continue to grow and heal into the women we truly want to be.
